Philosophy Degree Surprisingly Lucrative

Not for me yet but apparently on average it’s a first step to more lucrative careers than more than half of the rest of the majors on this interesting ranking.

    Hm. Look at their methodology, though:

    Nowhere does it say how exactly large the data sample was.
    Also, this is a bit fishy:

    All data used to produce PayScale’s Education Package were collected from employees who successfully completed PayScale’s employee survey.

    So, they don’t say how many surveys they gathered, they don’t say how they conducted their survey, and, in case it was something like “we will give out a survey now, anybody who feels like it can fill it out” <– a result biased towards successful respondents would be produced, because they would be more likely to want to fill out the survey in the first place.
    Hmm.
